Sleigh Waterbed Assembly

Your new Sleigh Waterbed will include the headboard, footboard, 4 piece pedestal, support grids, deck boards, 2 side rail, hardware kit (long and short screws)Tools Required- Drill with (square) Robertson drill bit for easier installation.

Place the headboard (taller than the footboard)

where you would like the bed to be located. 

 

 

Assemble the pedestal with metal corner

brackets and shorter screws.  

Note: The unfinished head and foot portion of

the pedestal is inset to the outer sides by 6-8".

Align headboard and center the pedestal. 

The pedestal sides do not attach to the head

or foot board.

 

 

Lay down deck boards.  84" in length.

2x24" for Super Single.

2x24" plus 1x12" for Queen and 3x24" for King.

The cut corners of the 24" deck boards should

be situated at the outer 4 corners of the bed.

 

           

 

Install 2 "L" brackets, evenly spaced, onto the main side rails. Allow 5/8" to accommodate the thickness

of the deck boards (when installed the bottom of the side rail is flush with the bottom of the deck board)

Install keyhole corner brackets on each end of the main side rails.

 

 

Install the side rails. (Larger screws into the the

head, foot, side rails and corners) Smaller screws

for the "L" brackets, going into the deck boards.

 

 

 

There are 2 "L" brackets for each of  the

side rails attaching to the decks.

One "L" brackets for each of the deck board pieces,

going into the head, foot, and decks.

 

 

Install heater (do not plug in until bed is filled)

according to it's instructions. Install liner, try to

eliminate folds. Place mattress, centered in frame.

 

 

Attach valve adaptor and hose. Fill with medium

temperature water. The bed is filled when the

the water level is at or below the level of the

liner top edge. Plug in your heater after filling.

 

Special Notes: Avoid filling the bed with very cold water as condensation can occur, and the heater may take 2-3 days to warm the bed.  Once filling has started adjust the mattress again if necessary so that it is centered.  DO NOT leave a filling bed unattended.
